Mark is a drag queen from New York City who goes by the drag name of Delilah Diamond and started doing drag in Spring of 2011. Read our Q&A with Delilah below.
What inspired you to start doing drag?
"I started drag because I have had so many people like pop stars and hollywood trainwrecks make me happy through the years and I wanted to make people smile and laugh like they have made me throughout the years. I wanna inspire and make people feel good."
How does drag make you feel?
"Drag makes me feel sexy , fierce & even more fabulous fabulous version of my self."
Who are you inspirations for your drag persona?
"Britney Spears , Madonna , Miley Cyrus , Jenna Jameson , Mariah Carey , The spice girls , Marilyn Manson , Fifth harmony , Kylie Jenner & Pamela Anderson. & LAST BUT NOT LEAST MY MOM"
Who are your three all time favourite Queens?
"Myself, myself and MYSELF"
Do you have a specific look you like to go for, or does your look vastly vary?
"I try to look like a spice girl on a bath salt meets Britney spears chic meets rebellious catholic whore. "
Do you perform in drag?
"I do, party's, Bar mitzvahs & for friends.. Nothing too crazy yet. "
Which songs would you like to perform?
"I love doing Im Slave 4 u , Worth it & Dirrty ( theres so many fuckin songs I love to do so its hard lol) The reason I love them so much is because im a dancer & love anything with heavy. Choreography that comes along with it. "
If you could only have 3 makeup products to do your complete drag makeup look for the rest of your life, what would they be?
"Eyeliner, Glitter & lipliner"
What is your one favourite piece of fashion or accessory from your wardrobe?
"Most of my Moschino items & red body suit."
Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
"I really don't like to look into what the future because I'm excited about whats happening in my life as a drag queen now. I cant even think about 5 years from now."
What's your opinion on the recent increase in popularity of drag, due to things such as RuPaul's Drag Race?
"Minus all the drama and Opinions people have I think drag race is fuckin awesome and has done amazing things for the community as being recognized as real talent and not seen as strange."
